There is an easy laid back atmosphere in Parracombe where the concept of rushing is left to others. Food, laughter and relaxing are the three things which are taken seriously here.
Just as the new moon is about to appear, so are our new owners. Yes we are in transition.
Nikki will be back for the first few weeks and the rest of the staff, with their familiar and comforting faces will be there too, so plenty of friendly continuity!
More news to come very shortly, but for now we are closed for business for a bit of hair and make up, reopening at lunch on Friday 3rd May.

The Fox and Goose is an imposing Victorian building, with a contemporary, stylish interior. We are open and serve food every day throughout the year except Christmas Day and a few weeks in January when we usually take a break!
We typically have 3 local real ales on tap, plus we serve local cider and have a good selection of wines. The pub is food-led with all menu items produced here and as many ingredients as possible are sourced locally. The result is a menu of traditional favourites and seasonal specialities.
There are also four beautiful bedrooms, so you can stay a while, explore the stunning surroundings and return for more delicious food and drinks.

We have four comfortable rooms beautifully decorated in Farrow & Ball colours. All the rooms feature very comfortable beds with linen bedding, gorgeous furniture, under floor heated bathrooms with large rain showers, large fluffy towels & robes.
Then in the morning come on down for homemade cereal, jams & conserves and of course a full cooked breakfast.
There is a joke that if you leave the Fox and Goose Inn hungry we haven't done our job properly!!

Parracombe is located in the Heddon Valley part of Exmoor National Park. This is a stunning part of Devon and perfect for all holiday types, from walking, coastal holidays and activity breaks.
There are also many other outdoor activities for you to enjoy nearby including kayaking in Combe Martin and quad biking in Ilfracombe.
Just 4 miles away from Parracombe are the picturesque twin villages of Lynton and Lynmouth where Exmoor meets the sea and with a 500m cliff railway connecting the two.
For coastal fun there are beautiful beaches at Woolacombe and Ilfracombe and plenty of historical interest in Dunster.
