Offering a constantly changing menu of fish, meat vegetarian and vegan dishes.
We serve food Tuesday to Sunday. During Autumn and Winter we offer sandwiches and soup on weekday (Tuesday to Thursday) lunchtimes, our full menu Friday and Saturday lunchtimes and every evening and our special Sunday menu (including roasts) on Sundays.
Nikki is our Head Chef creating a wide variety of dishes including fish, steak, duck and game, plus an extensive range of vegetarian & vegan food too.
You will find Pub Classics, such as Steak and Kidney Pie with shortcrust pastry lid, Fox Favourites such as Bouillabaisse style fish stew and game dishes, and Craig is adding a little bit of African flavour to the menu with our daily specials.
...and of course there are always delicious desserts too, not to mention our sumptuous Sunday roasts, Autumn through Winter and our sizzling Summer braais (BBQs).

All our dishes are prepared from ingredients sourced as locally as possible, which means the menu varies with the seasons.
Maybe we can tempt you with grilled Appledore skate wing with lemon caper butter sauce, served with roasted tomatoes, steamed green vegetables and sauté potatoes, or our very own Shepherdess Pie, herby mushroom, lentil, carrot, pea and corn, topped with sweet potatoes.
In the cooler months, we offer warming Sunday roasts, such as loin of pork or topside of beef with Yorkshire pudding and served with roasted vegetables, potatoes and steamed green vegetables.
While our Summer Sunday Braais (BBQs) are not to be missed! Think Africa meets Middle East with sumptuous summer plates of warm flat bread piled with fresh herby salad, dressed in a tangy dressing, topped with skewers, such as garlic peri-peri king prawns, lemon and coriander swordfish, minted lamb or spicy tofu & peach hot off the grill.
